Heart of Texas Retriever Club

...learning and training together

The Heart of Texas Retriever Club was founded in 1994 for the purpose of promoting quality purebred retrievers. We enjoy working together in an effort to improve our dog training skills. Most of our members live and hunt in the Salado, Killeen, Fort Hood, Belton, and Temple/Waco area.

The Club is a non-profit organization that is affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the United Kennel Club (UKC).  We host sanctioned Hunting Tests typically in the spring and fall. In addition, the Club is also a member of the Master National Retriever Club.

Six Month old “Puppypalooza” reunion.

At a recent training day several of our members got together with their new pups.

All the pups are littermates out of Brent McFarling’s master hunter Ellie.

Great looking group of Pups!!
