Jake's Wispering Wind SH "Ginger" 09/21/1997 - 02/16/2011 The Last ride... This morning you made me do the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. You quit eating three days ago (except for Dorritos and ham). I could tell you had given everything you could. I know you didn't want to disappoint me, but it was time, so today you took your last ride. Everyone was loaded into kennels except you, this time you got to ride in the cab of the truck. The ride ended in a field under a big oak tree, overlooking a pond with ducks on it. I can't imagine anywhere you would rather be. I owe you more than I could ever give back, you taught me about life, love, dogs, and people. You taught me about family, patience, responsibility, and about how to treat your friends (and the ones who weren't at the moment). Things were always easy for you, but you insisted on doing them the hard way, I guess it is true what they say about dogs taking after their owners. I'll miss you, but we'll be together again, and although you no longer have a place to ride in the truck, there will always be a special place in my heart just for you.

Bob and I took Suzie, and had her laid to rest.
Only you guys know how sad I am but it was the right thing to do for my dear old friend.
